I’m Emily. A surface designer. Passionate about creating stylish digital art, motifs and patterns inspired from things around me both natural and man-made.

My imagination is driven by intently observing organic and inorganic sights, sounds and smells, and fusing these together to create unique and balanced motifs, bold but muted color-ways and textures, for use in surface design.  Often my workflow starts with “traditional” art mediums such as watercolor, ink, charcoal, however it always ends up digital.

Forever inspired by David Hockney – “Love Life”, and “If the eye isn’t moving you are dead”, and by Matisse “What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity…..something like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue”.
